Community Impact: Tom Hunter Park

Residents routinely shared that Tom Hunter Park was in need of serious renovations. Indeed, the park had received an “F” rating from Mecklenburg County but was not part of their five-year plan. So that’s when we stepped in.

Ray's Story: A Homeowner Testimonial

Over time, Ray Goodman’s childhood home began to have too many maintenance problems to keep up with. Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte repaired his bathroom, provided him a new stove and refrigerator, put in a new HVAC system, and helped to replace his roof. When all construction was completed, RTGC contributed almost $39,000 in value to provide him with a safe and healthy home.

More than $33,000 was raised to support neighbors in need of critical home repairs and accessibility modifications at [Re]Building Spirits, a night of festive fun featuring an ugly sweater competition, gingerbread house making contest, and more.
