RTGC, in collaboration with the City of Concord and Republic Services Foundation, is seeking qualifications from local artists for a community mural project at the ClearWater Arts Center. The deadline to submit qualifications is April 30. The selected artist will receive $20,000 in compensation.
[Re]Build the Roost is an uplifting community event in Charlotte, where neighbors come together to celebrate the work of RTGC, build birdhouses, and raise money for our cause. Event attendees will also have the opportunity to build birdhouses to take home. The birdhouse build is an additional $20 to the event ticket. Additionally, we will host a silent auction where event sponsors, RTGC supporters, volunteers and homeowners, and the public will be invited to bid on exciting items and professionally designed birdhouses from local artists.
Join us April 24 at 5 p.m. at NoDa Brewing Company for a letter writing event in support of the Whole-Homes Repair Act. By supporting the bill, you’re advocating on behalf of low- and moderate-income homeowners who vitally need critical home repairs.
We’re requesting proposals for artist-built or decorated birdhouses to be auctioned at our annual [Re]Build the Roost Fundraiser. Each artist will be compensated for this work based on the total cost provided by the artist on the Request for Proposal Form. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 15. All birdhouses must be completed by May 3, 2024.
Join us Feb. 7 for a special event at Pilot Brewing (1331 Central Ave Suite 104, Charlotte, NC 28205) dedicated to Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte! Staff members will be there to raise awareness about the organization and share our story while enjoying the Charity of the Month creations.
Pilot Brewing has designed a signature beer and cocktail to honor Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte in February as its Charity of the Month. They’ll donate $1 from every pour and every cocktail throughout the month. Pilot Brewing is located at 1331 Central Ave Suite 104, Charlotte, NC 28205.

Gingerbread House Decorating Competition:
Attendees will have the opportunity to decorate a gingerbread house at the event and submit their house to compete against others. A panel of judges will determine the winner and offer additional superlatives. There will be a trophy at stake!
Ugly Holiday Sweater Competition:
It's time to pull out your ugliest holiday sweater! Attendees with the ugliest sweaters have a chance to win a Lowe's gift card.

As a way to engage the community and raise funds to support critical home repairs, Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte is hosting its 2nd annual [Re]Build the Roost birdhouse raffle and critical home repair fundraiser on June 8th, 2023.
Sponsors and local artists are working together to create birdhouses that will be up for auction at the [Re]Build the Roost event. Please join us for an evening of fun! Who knows, you may fall in love with one of the birdhouses.
Tickets are available for purchase for $20 and cover the price of entry, small bites, and a drink ticket.

April is National #RebuildingMonth! During Rebuilding Together’s annual month-long call to service, volunteers across the country will complete essential home repairs for veterans, older adults, families, and survivors of disaster.
We’re participating this April by making critical home repairs for our Hidden Valley neighbors and hosting a spring Cleaning Event and Vacuum Giveaway on National #RebuildingDay, April 29th. Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte and LG are giving away 200 LG CordZero Refurbished cordless vacuums to Hidden Valley residents.
Spring Cleaning Event and Vacuum Giveaway Details:
Distribution starts at 10AM at the front parking lot of Hidden Valley Elementary, 5100 Snow White Lane, Charlotte, NC 28213.
Limit of one vacuum per household
Participants must live in Hidden Valley.
Must be claimed by a resident 16 years or older.
