Volunteer with us

Don’t have home repair skills? No problem! Our skilled construction staff will teach you everything you need to know to complete a project and help you develop DIY skills you can use at home! We also provide all the tools, safety equipment, and materials you’ll need on site - just bring a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic!

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Volunteers must read and sign our Volunteer Waiver Form before their first shift.

  • Volunteers must be aged 14 years or older, and volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

  • Volunteers must follow all health and safety requirements on site, which include the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment and following the instructions of RTGC construction staff.

  • Volunteers must be prepared to wear a mask inside at the direction of construction staff to respect the wishes of the homeowners we serve.

Home Repair Volunteer Tasks Can Include:

  • Removing carpet.

  • Installing durable vinyl plank flooring, smoke detectors, toilets, handrails, grab bars, door sweeps, and insulation.

  • Repairing crawl space doors and exterior mortar and siding.

  • Rebuilding exterior decking.

  • Completing yard maintenance and interior demolition.

Other Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Tabling at corporate and community events.

  • Engaging with homeowners on volunteer days.
