Birdhouses from a previous [Re]Build the Roost Fundraiser.

Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte requests proposals for artist-built or decorated birdhouses to be auctioned at our annual [Re]Build the Roost Fundraiser. Each artist will be compensated for this work based on the total cost provided by the artist on the Request for Proposal Form. The deadline to submit proposals is March 15.

All birdhouses must be completed by May 3, 2024.

Mission

Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte (RTGC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with the mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. RTGC mobilizes community volunteers and contractors to provide repairs that make homes safer and healthier for our neighbors in need.

Artist Eligibility

Any artist interested in building and/or decorating a pre-built three-dimensional birdhouse, to be completed by May 3, 2024, may submit a proposal in accordance with the guidelines provided below.

Project Vision

Create and/or decorate a beautiful birdhouse suited for an outdoor environment. Please see images of the birdhouses from previous years' events for reference.

Project Timeline

  • Deadline for submissions, no later than March 15, 2024.

  • Notification by March 29, 2024.

  • Work to commence as soon as possible after the announcement and signing of a contract.

  • Birdhouses delivered to 9801 Southern Pine Blvd, Suite E, Charlotte, NC 28273 by May 3, 2024.

  • All artists will be given a complimentary ticket to the [Re]Build the Roost event on June 4, 2024 at NoDa Brewing, 150 W 32nd St, Charlotte, NC 28206.

Project Specifications

  • Birdhouses must be suitable for outdoor environments and be functional.

  • Please keep within the following dimensions, 5 ft tall x 2 ft wide MAXIMUM.

  • Proposals may include pairings of multiple smaller birdhouses

  • Proposals may not exceed $300.
