Huber Engineered Woods Volunteers Provide Critical Repairs through Partnership with RTGC
Five volunteers from Huber Engineered Woods, a company with corporate offices in Charlotte that produces products for residential, multifamily, and light commercial projects, recently provided critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for a neighbor in need in the Greater Charlotte area.
Volunteering with Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte, the Huber employees came to the Hidden Valley neighborhood on March 21 to help Linda. Across four hours of volunteer time at Linda’s home, the group installed a new toilet, replaced a ceiling fan and light fixture, began building handrails for the front entryway, and more!
RTGC could not offer no-cost repairs to low-income homeowners without the dedicated service of volunteers like this group from Huber.
“Dedicated volunteers from partner groups, working under the direction of our skilled construction team, is vital to delivering our projects on time to neighbors in need,” said Director of Construction Nikki Quick. “We couldn’t do it without them.”
A second group of Huber volunteers is scheduled to help another homeowner with critical repairs in April.
